Real Madrid refuse Cristiano Ronaldo’s demand for new contract

Real Madrid have refused to bow to pressure from star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo to meet his demands for salary parity with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain’s world record signing, Neymar.
According to Marca, the Portugal captain is eager to match the €25 million wage packet of the Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain stars.
Real Madrid, however, are reluctant to discuss terms, having only handed the 32-year-old a new five-year deal in November 2016.
Neymar became second highest paid player when he made a 222 euro move from Barcelona to the French capital club in the summer.
Also, Messi who is yet to sign his new deal could be the world’s highest earning footballer when he finally puts pen to paper.
And the former Manchester United forward is demanding a new contract with a pay rise in the nature of that of Neymar and Messi.
