Mugabe’s birthday declared national holiday



The birthday of former Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe,
February 21, has been declared public holiday.
Mugabe resigned last week after a military intervention and days of mass protests.
According to Herald News, the Zanu-PF Youth League called for the former president’s birthday to be made a national holiday
Government had adopted the decision in August following intense lobbying.
The national holiday is to celebrate Mugabe’s principles and ideals.
